Pain Medicine
Girish Juneja M.D. is the President, CEO and co-founder of the West Michigan Surgery Center. 
After working in the Big Rapids area as a Pain Medicine physician for several years, Dr. Juneja realized that there was an urgent need for surgical pain intervention, but no local options for this kind of advance care were available for his patients. To address this need he opened the West Michigan Surgery Center (WMSC) in June of 2006 and since that time has continued to expand his facility in order to better serve the residents of Big Rapids and the surrounding areas.
Dr. Juneja attended medical school at India’s celebrated Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) and completed his residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo in June of 1997. Dr. Juneja possesses an extensive background in orthopedic spinal surgery and treatments. He is board certified in both Physical Medicine/ Rehabilitation and Pain Management.

Roman Zolotoy, D.O. attended medical school at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine with additional education at Harvard Medical School. He completed residencies at the Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan and at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Zolotoy is a published author and is board certified in both Pain Medicine and through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Rashmi Juneja M.D.– attended the prestigious Gandhi Medical College located in Bhopal, India. She completed her residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo and was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1999. Dr. Juneja and has an extensive background in internal medicine, endoscopy and disease processes affecting the digestive system.

Allen Coates, D.O. – West Michigan Surgery Center is proud to offer the services of Dr. Coates who received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Des Moines University. Dr. Coates went on to serve his residency at the The Statewide Campus System (SCS) at Michigan State University’s (MSU) College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM.) Dr. Coates also fulfilled his fellowship at the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Center. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. Orthopedics
Peter Vasiu, D.O. – attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and fulfilled his residency at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing, MI. Dr. Vasiu completed an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship at the University Clinic for Traumatology, Graz, Austria and served as Chairman of the Orthopedic Department at Metro Health Hospital in Grand Rapids MI. Dr. Vasiu is a Board Certified, Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, knee arthroscopy, including: ACL reconstruction, full and outpatient partial knee replacement, hand and carpal tunnel surgery, and all forms of arthroscopic shoulder surgery.
